project 6209 is an American Industrial/Electronic band from around Chicago that was formed in 2007 by two guys with long experience in both arts and music. The name is a play on numerous generic band names that keep popping up in the scene. A generic band name due to saturation. p6209''s sound is a fruit of unfinished jamming sessions and constant anger/stress that combines electronics with heavy guitars to bring an energetic sound to the scene. The music itself tends to be rather heavy and clubby enough to get a body to move, whereas the lyrical part deals with human mind''s confusion and war with the world. The mix of aforementioned parts is simply the creation of unreleased energy that is needed to be expressed by people.

Summer 2006: Early jamming sessions start

Summer 2007: Jamming sessions continue; Project 6209 is formed; generic name chosen

Late Summer 2007: White Castle food is bought and stored in Armando''s fridge

Sometime around early or mid 2008: White Castle food is thrown out

Early Summer 2008: Project 6209 development grows stagnant

Summer 2008: Armando starts working on what''s to become the parts of the first EP; Mike disappears; Plan for a 2 album/EP release cycle is created; Mike is found

Late Summer 2008: Mike starts working on music

Winter 2009: Track entitled "LHC" is submitted to the Zero Demographic Compilation 

June 2nd, 2009: A special surprise is planned for 6-2-09.
